Look Good and Feel Good

How we look and how we feel go hand-in-hand. Maybe now we're more determined to shed some of that extra cold weather padding as warmer weather unfolds. Or we're just looking for ways to enhance our overall mood and well-being. You already know about proper exercise, eating healthfully and drinking more water to rejuvenate all of you-- body, mind and soul.

Here are some more ideas to boost your energy and give your day more bounce!

•  Cultivate a garden

Men and women alike report the rewards of gardening to enhance their appreciation of beauty, for relaxation and staying in shape. Not only does it feel good to garden, there is something tangible for all that elbow grease. Fragrances and beauty surround you and not only give you and your family hours of pleasure, birds and insects are also your ardent admirers.

•  Cultivate social relationships

They're not just for women. Having a social and business network to share your ideas and sentiments helps you stay current in your field, benefit from the feedback of others and boost your morale. A feeling of belonging enhances how we see ourselves and can make a difference in how we approach each day and our lives.

•  Cultivate your attitude

You have a choice in how you react to what happens to you. Try-out new approaches to people and situations and you may get very different results. They may be just what you're looking for. Your attitude can make or break your day so do pay attention to what side of the bed you get up on. Take stock of your attitude. If it doesn't reel in some satisfying event, worthwhile feeling or alter your mood for the better, than change it.

More helpful tips to feed your body, mind & spirit:

•  Sing in the shower

•  Keep a daily Journal

•  Spend time in nature

•  Make a date with your kids

•  Get rid of closet clutter

•  Read a book

•  Write a poem or a thank you note to someone (even to you)

•  Laugh and smile every day

•  Give someone else a reason to smile
